Day 1 Arrival
Welcome to the heart of Central America, where our tropical jungles, quiet colonial towns, eco friendly coffee plantations, smoking volcanoes, and the secluded beaches of El Salvador will simply take your breath away! Our instructional adventure tour begins with a scenic journey from Comalapa International Airport to the beautiful beaches of Costa del Sol in the department of La Paz (only about half an hour drive - 35 kms away). Costa del Sol’s gentle beach break, combined with the smooth waters and breathtaking scenery of the estuary are the ideal setting for our surf clinic.
Upon arrival, we'll head to our beginner’s break (which is right in front of our base camp). Our professional instructors provide proper surf boards which will help you get started in one of the most exciting and popular sports our country has to offer. The equipment consists of a longboard that has been chosen according to your size and ability level, a leash, and a bar of wax. Before we get in the water, you’ll learn surf basics: water safety, reading the ocean, proper standing, proper foot positioning, balance and paddling techniques, surf etiquette and much more. These practice drills are first carried out on the sand until everybody gets comfortable. Instructors always check with our guests to find out individual comfort levels. At night we’ll enjoy dinner at one of our selected seafood restaurants.
Shortly after breakfast we’ll hit the water and resume with our surfing lessons. On this day you will be encouraged to practice fluid stand-up movements on your surf board, as well as correct positioning and body movement for turning. Most probably we’ll have the beach all to ourselves, therefore, there’s always plenty of space available so you can focus on your surfing instead of worrying about the crowds. After the surf session you’ll we’ll have a break before it’s time for a well deserved lunch at one of the local restaurants
Day 2 (Afternoon session)
After our meal, you can relax on one of the hammocks at our pier, or relax by the pool. Your afternoon schedule takes you wake surfing through amazing mangrove forests. The views of flora and fauna are spectacular, especially during October, which are home to many migrating birds. This popular part of our surf clinic will build your confidence as you get to spend more time on top of the board; while teaching you how to properly turn from rail to rail. This method does wonders by guarantying a fun packed experience. As our day ends, you will get to see some of the most beautiful sunsets El Salvador has to offer. We can’t get enough… For dinner we will visit another great seafood restaurant.
Day 3 (Morning session)
This morning we will start our day with some basic surf drills, which will be performed at the resort’s swimming pool. Here you will learn how to perform an efficient “turtle roll” (if riding a long-board), or a “duck dive” (if using a shorter board). You will also be encouraged to practice correct paddling technique as well as good positioning on the surfboard. These exercises will not only build up your confidence level in the water, but they will also build a solid base needed to efficiently catch and ride waves. After our class we’ll have our usual break and then enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
Day 3 (Afternoon session)
This afternoon will be spent again at the estuary. We will immerse ourselves in the unique ecosystem of the mangrove forest; wakesurfing through the channels or just relaxing in our boat till sunset. We will have dinner at your favorite restaurant.
Day 4 (Morning session)
This morning you’ll have the chance to practice all the skills you’ve learned over the last few days one more time on the beach break, before heading towards our next destination, the Salvadorian mountains.
Day 4 (Afternoon)
Our instructional adventure tour continues with a scenic journey from Costa del Sol, to our cozy little mountain resort located in the colorful mountain region of Los Naranjos, in Nahuizalco, Sonsonate. Here you will be able to enjoy the atmosphere and hospitality of a Coffee Hacienda, the friendliness of its local people, along with their personal attention. This environment is surrounded by the warmth of cherished, antique pieces of furniture, adding to your experience of an era gone by. There will be time for an evening coffee tour, explore the nearby mountain trails, or just sit back and immerse in this beautiful mountain scenery. At night we will have dinner in one of the area's most distinguished restaurants.
Day 5 (Morning)
After breakfast we’ll spend the morning discovering the wonderful world of birds of prey. This tour consists of an unforgettable walk through the picturesque trails inside the coffee farm. In the meantime, a magnificent Harris’ Hawk (Parabuteo unicinctus) follows right behind, flying from tree to tree or landing in your gloved fist. You will feel the adrenaline rush as these tenacious predators glide graciously through the air directly towards you. You will witness the stalking, the chase, and the dramatic strike as these raptors try to seize the quarry with their sharp talons. Cadejo takes you to the ancient and wonderful world of falconry (an art recently declared Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO), with a unique Salvadorian flavor. If the weather conditions are favorable the hawks might treat us with a delightful display of soaring, a behavior that often leads to spectacular stoops at the rabbit or pigeon lures. This unique adventure will help you understand the role that modern falconers play in the conservation of raptors, and it will expand your knowledge about these majestic predators in their natural environment. Afterwards we’ll enjoy a homemade lunch that will be served by our hosts.
Day 5 (Afternoon)
This afternoon we’ll visit the town of Apaneca, in order to experience its thrilling Canopy Tour. This new way of transportation system within the top of the tropical forest was invented in the 70’s. At first, it was strictly used for scientific studies of the jungle’s inaccessible canopy; nobody would have imagined that later on it would open the doors to people of all ages to the wonders of the tropical forests. Up here you will be able to appreciate the area’s natural surroundings from a totally different perspective. The tour consists of 14 platforms suspended between the canopy to a height between 10 and 150 meters, and more than 2,000 meters of cable go between them. You will be able to safely “soar” from tree to tree by sliding over the zip lines, contemplating along the way the flora and fauna of the forest. Immerse yourself in the world of the pines and oaks as well as that of its inhabitants. In the last section we will fly over a plantation of strictly high grown coffee from El Salvador; appreciated in the best markets around the world. In the evening we will have dinner at one of town’s local restaurants.
Day 6 (Morning)
After breakfast, we will start getting acquainted with our biking gear (which is a properly sized mountain bike and a helmet). Our guides will individually provide assistance and the basic instructions. We will start by riding the coffee roads inside the hacienda, learning how to change gears efficiently, proper way to apply brakes, and correct positioning on the bike. We’ll then ride into prime mountain bike territory. El Salvador offers rugged volcanic topography with fascinating and challenging trails. Riders are guaranteed they will be taken through the less traveled back roads of our country.
Day 6 (Afternoon)
We’ll have a lunch and a little break, and then head to the nearby mountains of Juayúa in order to experience the scenery of inland El Salvador. Today’s adventure starts with an amazing horseback ride as we ride our way up from a private coffee farm into its own private cloud forest at the top of the mountain. The ride has spectacular mountain views, full of wild orchids and song birds. Our mountain biking trip starts at the top; from here our guides will take you through the spectacular hills overlooking the valley and the town of Juayúa. You’ll experience an unforgettable mountain biking ride, as you enjoy dramatic single tracks, thrilling down hills, and an array of web–like trails which offer endless possibilities. Discover uncharted trails through the bush, and see coffee plantations and bamboo forests. The ride ends in Juayúa, were we will be picked up and taken to our resort. At night we will have farewell dinner in the adjacent and colorful town of Ataco.

Our multi-adventure trip ends here. There may be time for visiting some shops before we drive you to Comalapa International Airport.
